Buy Now Or Cry Later!

Hello how are you today? I have been taking part in a Just One Stamp Challenge at UK Stampers,  where a group of us exchange a stamp each month. This month I  am using Sid’s stamp, it is the background one. I love the sentiment I have used with this card  : )

I had a lovely  surprise yesterday when  I discovered that My Artist Trading Coins had won the Crafts Beautiful star prize! Thank you so much.

I am still having problems being able to comment on some peoples blogs, I just can’t work it out. Blogger seems to be making things more and more difficult all the time!

Thank you for stopping by.

Valentine Animals Printers Tray

I am so happy to share my first project as a member of the very talented Calico Craft Parts Design Team. I love animals so I couldn’t wait to paint these lovely mini sized animals. This is the first printer tray I have made, it was really easy and fun to put together. The animals left their muddy paw, and hoof prints  all around the edges! (Hero Art stamps)

All of the details about how I made the Valentine Tray are on the Calico Craft Parts Blog

Wishing you a very happy Valentine’s Day, thank you so much for visiting xx

Moon Gazing Fox

It is good to be crafting again, after being very unwell. I am rather late with my second guest project for Calico Crafts, and I want to thank them so much for being very kind and understanding.  I love creating with their products which are fabulous, and there are so many to choose from! The possibilities are endless. There are more details about my Moon Gazing plaque over on Calico Crafts and Parts blog, so I hope you can pay them a visit.

I also need to thank Happy Little Stampers for selecting my Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder watercolour card as a winner. For some odd reason, which I still have not worked out, I am unable to comment on some blogs and Happy Little Stampers is one of them.

Fiskarettes Design Team Reach For The Stars

I am very happy and honoured to reveal today that I have joined the talented Fiskars UK Design Team. I will be creating with them for the next 3 months. I have been crafting since I was old enough to use scissors, and I have always used Fiskars scissors and trimmers. I have found them to be of the highest quality and never let me down.

My first project for Fiskarettes UK is ‘Reach For The Stars”

I painted the box frame in a metallic white paint and punched stars out of masking paper and placed them over the top. I then painted over the frame in blue paint, and when dry I  removed the stars.

For the hills I used the circle punch and folded them in half and overlapped them, adhering them together.I covered the hills in texture paste before painting them.

I used invisible thread to hang  one of the glittery stars from the inside top of the frame

The lovely girl Stamp is drawn by the amazingly talentedPhyllis Harris and made by  Unity Stamps

Thank you for visiting and Happy 2018 xx

Alice In Her Garden

I am thrilled and honoured to say that lovely Indigoblu invited me to stay on their Design Team for another year. They are all such lovely and talented ladies and gent. They have been very kind and understanding as I have developed another  serious health problem, and I am currently boggled eyed with strong painkillers!

Can you spot a shrunken Alice taking a stroll in her colourful and beautiful garden above?

I painted the inexpensive wooden frame with Grandmas Teacup. When the paint was dry, I dabbed Snow White paint onto the numbers stamp, and I randomly  stamped it around the frame.

For the background, I cut a piece of Watercolour card to fit inside of the frame.I mixed Grandmas Teacup, Iced Gem, and Olive paints with some water to give it the fluidity of Watercolours. I spritzed the paper with water and added the washes of colour. When it was still wet I sprinkled the lovely luscious powders over the top.I also used paint to stamp "Kindness Matters" from the Mindfulness stamp set.

I used paints instead of inks to stamp the flowers over the background.I also stamped some on another piece of card for cutting out.

I used Stazon to stamp Alice and the bees onto shrink plastic, and shrunk them.Alice is of course used to shrinking! I adhered the bees to some twisted wire.

After adhering the background inside of the frame, I added some Coarse texture paste inside the bottom of the frame. It held the flowers both stamped and pressed, bees and of course Alice in place. When dry I painted over the texture paste with Olive paint.

I added  some more flowers to the front of the frame.  I stamped and coloured a beautiful butterfly, and sat her in the top left corner of the frame, where she could  oversee events.

You could also apply these steps to easily create a greeting card instead of a framed picture.

Please visit the Indigoblu blog to see what the rest of the talented Design Team have created

Die Cut Essentials Magazine

I picked up Die  Cut Essentials today, and they have kindly included my bendi card, which I made with the Freshwater Die set, and stamps. As usual I created the background with watercolours, I love watercolours!

This is a lovely lake close to where I live. Let's hope the sunny weather continues...

If you have a Hobbycraft store near you they are selling 5 x 7 cards at half price, they have a few other bits of pieces in their clearance section  but you need to delve in to search for them! They seem to sell more toys than craft products now and hardly any stamps or accessories at all!

Thank you for visiting xx

Magical Fairy Book

Inside the magical Fairy world!

I used a Tando Creative Mini Printer Tray for my Magical Fairy book. As I was going to use Watercolours,I put a coating of gesso onto the pieces first.

I stamped Lavinia Stamps onto shrink plastic and shrunk them down, so they would be just the right size to sit happily in the printer tray.

The front cover, the fairies are happily sitting in the Enchanted Forest. They are wondering where all the other fairies are.....

The inside front cover.

Here are the fairies!

And the deers, and horses, and don't forget the hare..

Or the unicorn,

I added glass beads on the sides of the book and painted over them with Indigoblu  Iced Gem Paint

Thank you Fairy much for visiting me today xx
