Laugh As Much As You Breath

I haven’t been blogging much recently, mostly because I have been very unwell. But also since the google+ was removed my app for working on my blog stopped working, and I needed to wait for it to be updated.

So I have a lot to catch up on, but for today I am just sharing my newest make which is this card “Laugh As Much As You Breath”. Created with lots of watercolours, Indigoblu stamps and fussy cutting.

Thank you so much for paying me a visit.

Jane Davenport March Hare Prompts

Hello, how are you today? I hope you are well. I have been playing along with Jane Davenport’s March Hare prompts this week. Which is something a bit different for me, I don’t find it easy to draw quickly and not keep erasing and redoing! But art journalling seems to be about going with the flow! I am not too keen on how day 5 turned out, I may try and work on that one yet. Four more prompts to complete next week.
If you would like to play along the prompts are below. I hope you have a good week ahead.

Down the Rabbit Hole

Who would like to follow me down the rabbit hole today? Where it is a world of wonder where people are kind, respectful, considerate and law abiding, and treat others how they would like to be treated themselves?

I used Paperbabe stamps and templates for my White Rabbit.

Jane Davenport has just released prompts for Mad March Hare, and Alice sketches. I am going to try and join in and complete the prompts. I won’t be up to sketching/painting every day but I will catch up eventually!

I hope all is well with you, and thank you for visiting xx

ATC coins

Hello, I hope you are having time to enjoy your crafting,  and all is well with you. I have made only one set of ATC coins before, which I enjoyed.  Lost Coast Designs have an ATC Challenge this month so I thought it would be an ideal time to make some more. UK Stampers also have an ATC coin swap every month so I thought I may take part. It is always scary sharing your work with others, fingers crossed they will be liked.

I used distress Oxides for my background and embossed the little hare and tree, and used an embossing pen to draw in a hill. I use WOW embossing powders they always seem to give the best result for me. I added some little glitter dots in pink, blue and white to add some enchanting sparkle. I have ordered an ATC stamp to go on the back of the coin to add all my info to, so when it arrives it will be a challenge to stamp it on accurately!

I am entering my ATC coins into the   Lost Coast Designs Challenge

Thank you for stopping by xx

Thinking of you Spring Card

Hello, thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions with my commenting problem on other blogs. I have removed google + now and just use my blogger profile. I can comment on some blogs but still not on all,  which is a real mystery. I am so sorry that I just can’t post on Susi’s blog, she always makes the most beautiful journal pages., if you haven’t visited yet, go and take a peek.

Blogs do not seem to be so popular lately, I know a lot of companies are no longer using them, social media has taken over.I am thinking about whether it s worth continuing or not.

Anyhow today  I am sharing a happy Spring Card, lots of water colouring and fussy cutting invloved making this one. The lovely stamps are by Rare Earth. I was happy to see it published in Papercrafter magazine today. Issue 32 has some lovey Spring dies included with it.

Wishing you a happy and hopefully sunny weekend.

Thank you for stopping by

Apologies and Alice

I must apologise as I have been having problems trying to comment on some blogs. Is anybody else having the same problem ? It says to use your google account, but it’s not listed, I’ve tried signing out of blogger and signing in again,  but no - nothing works. I know google are deleting the google+ soon, so maybe that has something to do with it! By the way  if  anyone is following my blog on google+ and would like to continue to follow please click the followers thingy on the left.

No crafting this week, as I’ve not been so good, and also had another trip to hospital. I have new Alice goodies to play with though, see above !

I hope you are well hugs xx

Alice and Mad Hatter Canvas

Hello, I am back in Wonderland today, probably the best place to be!  Today I am sharing a mixed media canvas featuring Alice and the Mad Hatter.I used Paperbabe templates for the bow, hat and clothes, and drew the facial  features. Of course I  used my favourite watercolours on everything!

This is one of my most favourite quotes by Lewis Carrol “Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality” So I was thrilled to see it as a stamp at Lost Coast Designs.

I used several gorgeous Alice collections on this canvas, Bo Bunny and Echo Park. Have you seen the new Alice collection by Stamperia, it is stunning!

Thank you for visiting today, hope to see you again soon. If you have time, please leave a comment so Alice and Mad Hatter know you were here!
I would like to enter this canvas into the following challenges, thank you.

Sweet Valentine Card

Hello thank you for stopping by, I hope you are well. Today I am sharing an idea for a very sweet Valentines Card, I found the chocolate hearts from Lindt, and thought they would make wonderful balloons.

I made my card background by using aquamarkers spritzed heavily with water. I stamped the girl with balloons (minus her balloons) I also stamped a few tress for her to be flying past. Some glue dots worked well to keep the chocolate hearts in place, I am  not entirely sure just how long they will stay in place before being gobbled up!

I would like to enter my Sweet Valentine Card into the following challenges, thank you.

Animal Requiem

I was so happy to be able to go to the Animal Requiem at St Johns Church, Piccadilly. To watch the breathtaking service to honour all of our animal friends whom are no longer with us. Just a few days prior I was in hospital on oxygen after a medical procedure did not go very well. I was determined to attend in memory of My Tammy who died almost 19 years ago, I still miss her every day.

Animal Requiem

I pinned her photo on the special Rembrance Board

I lit a candle for Tammy and my friends dog Charlie.

Alfie Boe was superb, the Requiem ended with him singing a reworking of “Blackbird” originally by The Beatles.
Rachel Fuller wrote the Requiem to honour and remember all of the beloved animals who are no longer with us.

The Altar

This is Tammy and myself many years ago. I had just come out of hospital, I had been in a coma from which I was not expected to survive. The drs told my mother to keep talking to me as I may be able to hear her. She talked to me about Tammy, Tammy, Tammy. I eventually came out of the coma, the prognosis for my future was not good, but I have lived much longer than expected.

The Animal Requiem can be downloaded from iTunes, and there are lots of videos from the service on You Tube.

I only have one hospital appointment next week, so I can hopefully get back to some crafting.Wishing my crafting friends a lovely crafting week xxx

Alice In Wonderland Lantern

A lovely crafting friend recently gave me this die set, and this is my first attempt at making a lantern. I decided to turn it into an Alice in Wonderland themed lantern, and included an artificial tea light inside. I selected some  stamps from my large Alice collection, and coloured them with watercolours.

Thank you so much for paying me a visit. I would like to enter my Alice Lantern into the following challenges

End of year

Hello, and thank you very much for stopping by to visit me today. As the year is drawing to an end
I thought I would share some of my makes from the year.

This was my first make as a member of the Fiskarettes UK Design Team. I very much enjoyed my time on their team.

I enjoyed making this card, I always enjoy using items from nature in my art. This card was made for Indigoblu

I enjoyed being a Guest Designer for Crafty Individuals.

It took a lot of time and patience, but I stamped this flower onto real pressed rose petals. I also used real leaves to stamp the leaves onto

I love Lavinia Stamps, and I was thrilled when this card was featured in Craft Stamper.

The reason why I created this canvas is not very pleasant, the crafting world can be very nasty place... but I was thrilled when a magazine asked me if they could publish this canvas.

I look forward to hopefully being able to continue  to craft in the new year, I have a lot of serious health/ disability problems which  are getting worse and I am also developing new ones.

Myself and my family are all under tremendous stress which is seriously affecting our health and well being.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to visit and leave a comment, I appreciate it very much.
I wish my crafting friends and crafting visitors good health and happiness in 2019.May you have lots of time to enjoy your crafting.

I look forward to hopefully having new crafting adventures in 2019.

Drawing and Painting onto wood slices

Hi how are you? Have you made all of your Christmas cards yet? I am pleased to say that I have! I also enjoy making ornaments to give instead of cards. I recently had my first experiment with drawing and painting directly onto wood slices.

I drew them from my imagination so some look like hares, or bunnies, others look like an entirely new species! But at least they all are 101% original!

I am giving these to my friends for Christmas, and I would like to enter them into the
Paperbabe Challenge Anything Goes

Take care xx
