A Good Hare Day!

Hello how are you? I recently decided to treat myself to this lovely stamp set. I love hares, and this one seems to look as if he has a rather mischievous little character. I am sure I will be using him a lot.

As always I water coloured everything, and this time  I also did a lot of masking for the toadstools etc.

Please Stay safe this new Indian variant seems a real worry. xx

Fairy Flowers

Hello, I hope all is well with you. I’m continuing to stay home apart from attending medical appointments. It is very worrying times isn’t it. Thank goodness for crafting, it has always helped me with my health and disability problems, and it is keeping me going now.

I was thrilled to see that Chocolate Baroque are running a new challenge, they have taken over from the Penny Black Challenge. This months challenge theme is Wings.I have a lovely hanging flowers CB stamp, so I decided to use it along with a gorgeous fairy stamp and butterflies. I used my favourite watercolours, and lots of glitter for my card. Glitter just never seems to show in photos, no matter what contortions you do!

Thank you so much for visiting, and please stay safe xx

Party Sheep

Hello how are you today? Sadly I have still not heard from the winner of the giveaway, I have posted on her blog and Facebook to no avail. If I have still not heard by Monday evening I will randomly select another winnner. I do hope that the winner Linda  is ok.

Today I have made a tag to tie around a gift for my sisters friends birthday. Oops I haven’t made the gift yet...... it is going to be a 3d picture in a frame. My sister and friends go on several holidays in the Lake District each year so I wanted to create  a country scene. The Crafty Individual Stamps are perfect for this.

As this is for a birthday the sheep of course had to be holding balloons! I used Watercolours for all of the colouring, and added texture with Flowersoft for the hedge and white Flowersoft for the sheep. I crushed up some Prima Art Stones to make the pathway. I finished the tag by tying on  several different shades of green raffia.

Thank you so much for visiting today. Wishing you a happy, and hopefully sunny weekend xx

Indigoblu Butterfly Card

I love this beautiful, beautiful big butterfly from Indigoblu! I wanted to show her off on a large 8 x 8 Kraft  card. I heat embossed her in white on the centre of the left side. I repeated this on some stamping card, and  coloured her with the gleaming Luscious pigment powders before fussy cutting her.

I heat embossed the line of leaves from the Aztec Borders Stamp Set above and below the butterfly, and I  also coloured them with the Lusciois. I adhered the fussy cut butterfly to the right of the first one.

To finish I thought it would be nice to heat emboss the butterfly on the inside of the card. I think the white embossing looks nice against the Kraft Card.

Please visit the Indigoblu blog  to also see some fabulous art from Mike Deakin.

Thank you for visiting me today, I hope you are having time to craft.Lets hope the snow stops soon !

Live Every Moment

Hello how are you today?
I originally created this little scene in my art journal, for once I actually quite liked the way it came out, and of course the sentiment is wonderful.
When I saw that Country View Challenges theme this month was to make a postcard, I thought I would try to recreate it to fit onto a postcard. The gorgeous stamp is drawn by the very talented Phyllis Harris and manufactured by Unity Stamps

A Winters Meadow

Hello , I am in full Christmas making mode! I decided to make keepsake plaques for my family this year, and this one is for my sister. She takes several holidays in the Lake District each year. When I saw this charming Hobby Art stamp at the Alexandra Palace in September I thought it would make a perfect Christmas card for her.

I watercoloured the image and flicked my brush with white paint to create the snow.I love to use elements from nature so I chose a gorgeous piece of birch bark to mount it on and then added a pine cone, curly moss and a gorgeous pink berry.

How are your Christmas /Winter crafts going?

Thank you so much for visiting me today.
