A Pooh Takeover!

Oh goodness my crafting blog has been taken over by all things Pooh for his 90th Birthday week! Today I am sharing a few Lovely Pooh Bears. Pooh Signatures by Deans Bears. Deans is the oldest British teddy bear company. They started making their gorgeous bears in 1915.

Gabrielle Designs made these wonderful Pooh sets. They were also famous for making their Paddington bears. Sadly they went out of business in the 90's.

“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. “Pooh,” he whispered.

“Yes, Piglet?”

“Nothing,” said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw, “I just wanted to be sure of you.”

Classic Pooh Stamps

I am missing my crafting so much, I have been doing some sort of craft or other since I was a child.I find it is very therapeutic and helps to try and take my mind off everything.

As I am a huge Classic Pooh fan, I am sharing something Classic Pooh everyday in the run up to our silly old British bears 90th birthday on 14th October. Today I am sharing my collection of Classic Pooh stamps, some of them are decades old! I love them all!

Below is a whatnot I made with them, it was the first thing I ever had published!

When I get back to crafting which will hopefully be soon, I must make more of the things I love and enjoy making.

Thank you so much for visiting I hope to see you again soon - lots more Classic Pooh to come!

"What day is it?", asked Winnie the Pooh

"It's today," squeaked Piglet

"My favourite day," said Pooh

My Indigoblu Projects On Hochanda TV

My Sparkle and Glisten Christmas Box

Magical Unicorn Gift Box

What a lovely surprise it was to see Kay showing my projects live on Hochanda television, along with lots of wonderful projects by the talented Indigoblu Design Team. It was a few weeks ago, but I have only managed to put the photos up today.

You might be able to spot my Alice in Winterland Canvas on the shelf in the background.

I had my stitches out today, and I need lots of therapy to get movement back. Luckily I planned ahead and I made some Indigoblu Autumn projects before I had my operation, so I will be putting those on the blog this month.

"'I wasn't afraid,' said Pooh, said he, 'I'm never afraid with you.' So wherever I am, there's always Pooh, There's always Pooh and Me."

Free Cath Kidston Pooh Printables!

Free Cath Kidston Pooh Printables

It's not long now until our silly old British bear is 90 years old on the 14th October! Cath Kidston recently released a new pooh print (unfortunately it was Disney Pooh and not the original Pooh as drawn by E.H.Shepard - still lovely though !) They now have free Pooh Printables on their blog to celebrate their new release which sold out in record time!.

I am missing my crafting a lot, I am having my wound checked tomorrow and hopefully after a course of therapy I will be able to use my right hand again. It has been a challenge steering my wheelchair left handed, everyone dives for cover whenever I start to move!

Even though I can't craft just yet... I will post lots of Classic Pooh things this month.

Hope everyone is having a good start to Autumn!

Here is a very good quote from Eeyore

"A little Consideration, a little Thought for Others, makes all the difference." (Eeyore)

Alice In Winterland

In the winter, Wonderland becomes Winterland, and Alice loves to walk in the snowy forest.

I painted the top of my 20cm (8inch) canvas with Iced Gem paint, and randomly painted on Snow White metallic paint on the bottom. I used the star stencil and Slap it On to add some raised stars to the top of the canvas and also painted those pink.

I used Archival Olive Ink pad to stamp the trees from the Winterland wood stamp set. I stamped the two distance trees without reinking the stamp, so it gave a more faded and distant look. I used white paint to add snow to the trees which was followed by flitterglu and white glitter.

I stamped and coloured Alice from the Indigoblu Alice stamp set, and stamped the bunnies in black Archival from the Winterland set. I fussy cut them all out and adhered them to the canvas.

I spread glass bead gel medium to the bottom of the canvas to give some glistening texture to the snow. When it was dry, I lightly added white paint to some areas.

I Die cut some snowflakes and stars in various sizes and covered them in Flitterglu and white glitter. I adhered them to the top of the canvas using sticky foam pads.

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope to see you again soon.

I would like to enter Alice in Winterland into the following challenges.

Crafting at Alexandra Palace

The view over London was a bit misty.

Myself and my Mother went to the Craft Show Ally Pally yesterday. it was very, very cold quite a change from the last few hot humid days!

We decided to go so I could meet the Indigoblu team.I was a little nervous to meet them, but Kay, Jenny and Alfie were all so lovely and very kind, hugs all round! I tend to worry that maybe the things I make are not good enough, especially when compared to all of the talented artists out there.

They were very complimentary about my little whatnots, so I feel reassured that I am doing them justice. I am so very lucky and honoured to be on their International Design Team.

With Jenny.
I also met up with the lovely Sue who has recently joined the Indigoblu team, but we both forgot to take photos!

Here you can see the beautiful Rose stained glass window in the hall.
It was very, very busy in the hall!

The Indigoblu stand was wonderfully busy with all of the Indigoblu fans.
My favourite canvas by Elizabeth Robinson was on display
(near the top right in the photo)

Gorgeous works on show!

My Indigoblu goodies I bought.

I really enjoyed seeing the very talented Sandra's work on the Inkylicious stand.

There was a stand there called "Every Craft a Pound" I couldn't get close but my mum struggled in and got some goodies for me which I had spotted from afar! A frame, chipboards, foam pads, cards!

I won't be able to use my goodies for a while, as this Tuesday I am having an op on a finger on my right hand (I am right handed), but I will be thinking up all sorts of ideas for when I can craft again, which will hopefully be soon.
