The view over London was a bit misty. |
Myself and my Mother went to the Craft Show Ally Pally yesterday. it was very, very cold quite a change from the last few hot humid days!
We decided to go so I could meet the Indigoblu team.I was a little nervous to meet them, but Kay, Jenny and Alfie were all so lovely and very kind, hugs all round! I tend to worry that maybe the things I make are not good enough, especially when compared to all of the talented artists out there.
They were very complimentary about my little whatnots, so I feel reassured that I am doing them justice. I am so very lucky and honoured to be on their International Design Team.
There was a stand there called "Every Craft a Pound" I couldn't get close but my mum struggled in and got some goodies for me which I had spotted from afar! A frame, chipboards, foam pads, cards!
I won't be able to use my goodies for a while, as this Tuesday I am having an op on a finger on my right hand (I am right handed), but I will be thinking up all sorts of ideas for when I can craft again, which will hopefully be soon.
Great photo's and that sounds like the perfect day out. Your work is so beautiful and is more than good enough, that's why we chose you!!!! Well done to you Mum for braving the £1 stall it can be quite a battle to get close to that one xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you Elizabeth, you are very kind. Kay and Jenny said nice things about my work which was lovely of them too! I think I need to take a trip to the confidence shop and buy myself a large helping!
DeleteMy Mum was very good taking me there, and then braving the stall to gather me some goodies.
Hello Jannet, it was lovely to meet up with you yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI am loving your creations so keep up the good work.
Wishing you well for your op on Tuesday. Take care, Sue xx
It was lovely to meet you too Sue. I love all of your wonderful creations too. Thank you so much for the good wishes.
DeleteWell it looks like you had a wonderful day Jannet. Thank you so much for your very kind and generous comment about my work, and for taking the photograph. I know exactly what you mean about being nervous when meeting people, I felt exactly the same when I dropped off my first lot of samples off at Inkylicious. I was so relieved when they liked what I had made. I think it's just that you want to do them justice with their products, and also the fact that they've chosen you to do that in the first place. Enjoy the rest of your day. Sandra x
