Getting the tree tag

Just a simple tag today, which I have made for my little December Daily Album.I left a white Snowy space at the bottom of the tag to add a date stamp on the day we select and bring our tree home.I used  Watercolours to create the background and also to colour the Clarity Stamp car. I watered down some white acrylic paint for my snow.

Thank you so much for visiting.

Snowman Scenic Square

I have been busy creating a half dozen of these adorable scenic boxes. Before assembling the mdf pieces
I painted them and then added a coat of crackle.Sitting happily inside this one you can find a snowman or snowlady, a snowflake, both painted and decorated. Some dried elements, flowers pine cone etc, and some sumptuous  pink berries.
I also used mini polystyrene balls, and oh my goodness they went absolutely everywhere! I think I will still be finding them at Easter!

Thank you for stopping by, I would like to enter my little scene into the Mini Marvel challenge at A Vintage Journey

December Daily

I have finally finished the front cover for my December Daily. It is only going to be a 6 x 6 one this year. I am going to be using Bo Bunny’s Christmas Carousel papers for my journal and the deer and pink berries are from Anna Marie Designs.Sorry I don’t recall who made the gorgeous snowflake stencil.

This is the inside of the cover, there is a pocket at the bottom, but I don’t have anything tucked into it yet.The Christmas Carousel papers come with lots of elements which I am planning to fussy cut and use as embellishments.

Thank you for visiting, I would like to enter my December Daily cover into the Stamps and Stencils challenge which is pastels.I would also like to enter it into the Allsorts Glitter Challenge  I hope the glitter in the snow shows up!

Let It Snow

I expect you have started creating your Christmas/Winter cards, how is it going? Has the glitter travelled everywhere! I have made a fairly quick and simple card to share with you today, using two gorgeous Indigoblu stamp sets Winterland Wood and Sparkle and Glisten.

A Stroke of Midnight is the perfect paint to create a night time scene. I masked  the bottom of my picture and painted the rest.I used the trees and gorgeous deers from the Winterland Wood Stamp set and used versamarker to individually stamp them onto the card. I followed with white embossing powder, and then heat embossed each of them.

I painted some grassy snow around the deer's feet, and then removed the masking tape to reveal a clean edge. Any escaping splotches can be covered with a dot of snow in the next step!

Some snow is definitely needed, so I splattered some white paint over the scene. I always think it is easier to add a small amount  of paint to the brush and gently flick the bristles, to create little snow flurries.

The sparkle and Glisten Stamp set has some lovely Christmassy sentiments which are  perfect for cards. I selected “Let It Snow” and stamped it onto the bottom of the card using the stroke of midnight paint.

A larger snowflake would look nice in the corner so I die cut one, and painted a gem to match the background and then centered it onto the flake.I also added a little Die Cut star to the top of one of the trees.

I finished my card by stamping another sentiment from the Sparkle and Glisten Stamp set inside of the card.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you will give this simple card a try.

Lest We Forget

In memory of my Three Great  Uncles, and Great Grandfather, and in memory of my Grandfather (in the photo) who survived but was gassed and suffered for the rest of his life he lied about his age and joined up when he was only 14 years old.

A Winters Meadow

Hello , I am in full Christmas making mode! I decided to make keepsake plaques for my family this year, and this one is for my sister. She takes several holidays in the Lake District each year. When I saw this charming Hobby Art stamp at the Alexandra Palace in September I thought it would make a perfect Christmas card for her.

I watercoloured the image and flicked my brush with white paint to create the snow.I love to use elements from nature so I chose a gorgeous piece of birch bark to mount it on and then added a pine cone, curly moss and a gorgeous pink berry.

How are your Christmas /Winter crafts going?

Thank you so much for visiting me today.

Snowy Feathers

I was thrilled when I had the winning bid on eBay for this darling Indigoblu Robin. I knew my parents would love him so I created this plaque especially for them. For once I was actually pleased on how it turned out, so I decided to use the same idea to make a card. You can read the details about  how I made the card on the Indigoblu blog.

I hope all you Christmas craft creations are going well, thank you so much  for visiting.
