Mr Herbert Bumblewaite is known locally as "the mad inventor" as he is always collecting whatnots to make some sort of contraption with. On a crisp Autumn morning he decided to test out his latest invention which was his flying contraption.......
All the details of how I made this little Autumnal scene can be found on the Indigoblu Blog
Thank you for flying by, if you bump into Herbert on your travels could you please send him home!
I made this before my operation, and the good news I am getting movement back in my finger, and I am excercising it well so I hope to be back to crafting very soon.I miss it!

The view over London was a bit misty. |
Myself and my Mother went to the Craft Show Ally Pally yesterday. it was very, very cold quite a change from the last few hot humid days!
We decided to go so I could meet the Indigoblu team.I was a little nervous to meet them, but Kay, Jenny and Alfie were all so lovely and very kind, hugs all round! I tend to worry that maybe the things I make are not good enough, especially when compared to all of the talented artists out there.
They were very complimentary about my little whatnots, so I feel reassured that I am doing them justice. I am so very lucky and honoured to be on their International Design Team.
There was a stand there called "Every Craft a Pound" I couldn't get close but my mum struggled in and got some goodies for me which I had spotted from afar! A frame, chipboards, foam pads, cards!
I won't be able to use my goodies for a while, as this Tuesday I am having an op on a finger on my right hand (I am right handed), but I will be thinking up all sorts of ideas for when I can craft again, which will hopefully be soon.
I couldn't bear to throw out this lovely little biscuit box, so I decided to cover it with decoupage papers. I used Wildflower Woods Paperpatch. I always use PVA glue with my decoupage, it is much less expensive than the special decoupage glue and seems to work ok for me.
My favourite flower is the wild poppy, and Crafty Individuals Poppy Meadow Stamp fitted perfectly on the front of the box ! I used watercolours to colour the image.
For a finishing touch I put some lace along the side of the lid. This lace had a double sided tape already on it, which was helpful!
I am going to give this to my sister for Easter, ....... I better find something nice to put in it first !
Thank you so much for visiting.
