Alice is in Winterland

Alice has fallen down the Rabbit Hole and has magically found herself in Winterland!

I created the background with watercolours and I used Indigoblu stamps for Alice and the tree.

I squeezed some glossy accents onto the top of the picture and let it drip down to look like icicles and then shook a generous amount of fine white glitter over the top.

I used glass beads at the bottom of the picture for Alice to stand on, I hope she does not get too cold!

Thank you so much for visiting myself and Alice today we are all mad here ; )

Lost Coast Stamps are holding a wonderful Alice in Winterland challenge, and their Design Team have created some lovely pieces! I would love to enter this into their challenge.

I would also like to enter it into the following challenges.

Meet Me Under The Stars

I am starting the fourth week with this rotten virus,it seems to be doing the rounds and just wont go away! Today I was able to play with my new Lavinia Stamps which I had for Christmas, aren't they lovely!

I used watercolours to create the background, and I flicked white acrylic paint with some irresdescent medium mixed into it for the stars.

I stamped and fussy cut the foxes and used 3D sticky pads to adhere them to the background.

Thank you so very much for visiting me today, I hope you have escaped this virus!

I have entered this into Lavinia Stamps Starry Night Challenge on Facebook

I would also like to enter It into the following challenges.

Happy 2017 from Aloysius and me!

This month the Indigoblu Design Team have been asked to use their favourite Indigoblu stamp, which is of course a difficult choice! As I am a teddy bear fan I just had to pick the famous Aloysius teddy from Brideshead Revisited.I was happy for an excuse to use my new Christmas watercolours to paint the background.More details about how I made this card can be found on the Indigoblu blog.

Aloysius is the most gorgeous bear and there are so many different cards, and gifts you could make with him!He has been in my stamp collection for some time I must bring him out to play more often : )

There is a fun challenge happening at Indigoblu at the moment with the theme of Snow Snow Snow. There are wonderful stamps to be won, so there is nothing to lose.... if you have Aloysius you could sit him in a fluffy pile of icy snow he would love that!

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope to see you again soon.

I would like to enter Aloysius into the following challenges

Happy 2017

Healthy and Happy 2017 !

My year with The Mixed Media Mojo Design Team has concluded, and this is my final project.I used the White Rabbit from Alice for my first project, so I thought I would use him again for my final project.

I carefully removed a page from my old Alice in Wonderland book.In the bottom left hand corner I used super thick Slap it on through the Indigoblu Rose Stencil.

I stamped Alice and the White Rabbit onto card and bought them to life with watercolours, and fussy cut them.

I randomly stamped some clocks and also added 2016 and 2017. On the top of the page I stamped some cascading raindrops.

I added some glossy accents over the top of the raindrops.

When dry I coloured the Rose blue, and adhered Alice and the White Rabbit onto the book page.

Play along with Mixed Media Mojo Challenge this month the theme is New and the twist is Clocks. There is a whole new Design Team so be sure to pay them a visit.

Thank you for visiting, may you enjoy every day of the new year.

What a Surprise!

I discovered today that my little Christmas box (3 inch square) won the Readers Challenge in Papercraft Inspirations! I gave this box to my Mother for Christmas and filled it with lip balms and little chocs.

I made the box some time ago with some beautiful Forest Magic stamps which came with the magazine. I wrote a few words about it here.

My talented friend Sandra's gorgeous card was published too!

Thank you so much for visiting. May you have many happy days in 2017!

Glittered Roses

I made a Christmas wreath today, this one sits on a cabinet with a candle in the middle, it's not a typical door hanging wreath. I thought I would share how I added glitter to the roses.

For the wreath I used red roses, gypsophila, some rosemary from the garden, some fir from the branches which had to be cut from our tree, holly, gold sprayed cones, and some artificial red berries.

I diluted some pva glue with water, and used a brush to place the glue onto the roses and added touches to parts of the greenery and berries. I shook some ultra fine glitter over the glue, when dry the glue becomes transparent.

I hope you have fun adding some sparkling glitter to your floral arrangements this Christmas.

Thank you so much for visiting.
