I love the sea, although sadly I do not see it very often, and then I only see it from a distance as unfortunately beaches are not wheelchair accessible, but at least I can see it for which I am very grateful.
With the sea in mind I created this 7x7 card. The background is from the gelli plate. I inked up the gelli plate and then placed the netting from some tangerines over the top, and it left this nice netty pattern. I cut some pieces of bark for the seagull to stand on, I must admit I don’t like seagulls as one of them swooped behind me last year and snatched my sandwich right out of my hands!
I also added some art stones and few tiny shells, some stamped and some real.To finish off I wound some twine around the edge of the circle.
The stamps I used are by Crafty Secrets.
Thank you for visiting today, have a lovely day. Hugs xx

A beautiful created scene Jannet, I love to see the sea but have a fear of what lies within so ships/boats are a bit of a no go for me. So I enjoy it's vision and calming sounds from afar. Great use of the netting on the gel press, what a great background. Those words are so heart warming.

P.S Those pesky Seagulls, I witnessed one take flight with a fried fish portion from a poor girl in the sea side town of Barmouth once.. Least she was left some chips!
So very beautiful!

ReplyDeleteOnce again you've used 3D elements to best effect and how clever to use the bark in this way... Lovely make, thank you for sharing with use at Country View Challenges!
ReplyDeleteThis is so textural and beautiful, I love it! How naughty of the seagul stealing your sandwich - it would make me wary too! xxx
