Underwater Mini Book Cover

I have always loved seahorses so when I saw 49 and Market's gorgeous Sea and  Sand paper pad, I knew it would be perfect for my mini book to scrapbook the few days I recently spent at the seaside. Then I saw they had matching seahorse stamps ! So of course I just had to get those too!

I decided to use the front cover of the pad as my mini book cover and covered it in gesso, then I had my doubts as it got a bit soggy poggy, but luckily it was ok when it dried out. I made a a background with watercolours and used embossing powder in olive for the seaweed. For the air bubbles I embossed some with clear and others with white. I watercoloured the lovely seahorses and stamped Indigoblu's bubble stamp all around the edges and heat embossed them  in white.

I finished off by spreading some bead gel over the bottom of the cover. This was my first play with the stamps and I am looking forward to using them again.

Dandelion Fairies

These two lovely Fairies are overlooking their field of dandelions. At midnight thousands of fairies emerge from the dandelions and twinkle and sparkle as they flitter  around. Some of them fly away and grant wishes for special, people, while others stay in the field and play and create magic.

A sideways view of the card, the wings fold inwards so it fits in the envelope!

I watercoloured the background and stamped and heat embossed the dandelions and the lovely sentiment.

Thank you Fairy much for visiting us today.

Lavender Fields

This Majestic Deer stands proudly in his field of Lavender. He also loves to sleep in the Lavender field too as it soothes him to sleep.

I created  the background with water colours, and stamped the Lavender with two colours of Adirondack inks. I have heard a lot of good things about the new Distress Oxides so I am thinking about trying them out! I fussy cut some of the Lavender flowers and adhered them with foam pads to give some depth to the picture.

I hope you are all enjoying the summertime and all of the glorious flowers in bloom at this lovely time of year.

Thank you for stopping by xx

Lake District Card

It's my sister's birthday at the end of this month, so of course I wanted to make her a special card. For the last 30 years or more she has taken two walking holidays in the Lake District every year. So when I saw Crafty Individuals new stamps of a church, and country cottage, I thought they would be perfect to create a Lake District type of scene in a  3 D  card.

I stamped the  images, and coloured them with my very favourite medium which is of course Watercolours! I also die cut trees, branches etc and watercoloured them too.

This is the card folded down ready  to fit in the envelope.

I think she will like it, at least I hope she does!

Thank you for visiting today xx

Die Cut Essentials Magazine

I picked up Die  Cut Essentials today, and they have kindly included my bendi card, which I made with the Freshwater Die set, and stamps. As usual I created the background with watercolours, I love watercolours!

This is a lovely lake close to where I live. Let's hope the sunny weather continues...

If you have a Hobbycraft store near you they are selling 5 x 7 cards at half price, they have a few other bits of pieces in their clearance section  but you need to delve in to search for them! They seem to sell more toys than craft products now and hardly any stamps or accessories at all!

Thank you for visiting xx

My year with Indigoblu has flown by, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the talented and lovely team. I have made this thank you card for them with much love.

I flicked lots of sparkling glitter from a glitter pen over the picture.
